BASIC RULES: If you get hit with a sword anywhere on your body it effects you basically how it would in real life. So if you get hit in the arm with a sword, you lose that arm. For fighting purposes you would drop whatever you had in that hand, and then put that arm behind your back and keep fighting. Same thing with a leg, if you get hit, go down on one knee. You can still limp around, but it severely demobilizes you. So if you lose a limb, it's technically not there, so if someone hits you once in an arm and then hits the same arm again later, its a kill. This is because if we were actually fighting that arm would be gone and the second hit would go straight through to your body. If you lose two limbs, you are dead (2 arms, 2 legs, an arm and a leg). Body shots also mean death. Your legs start just below your butt, so if you get hit in the caboose, you're dead. Arms are just past your shoulder, so shoulders are also kill shots.
There's no hitting in the head with swords (that's just mean, and no one wants to fight with a head-ache) but you can get hit in the head with an arrow (this means death). While i'm on the subject of arrows, you can get hit in the leg or arms with them and you will lose the ability of that arm, but it is merely pierced, it is not hacked off. You can get all limbs pierced and still not have death, it just means you have to lay there like a piece of meat. Hands don't count, feet don't count as long as they are on the ground, but if your foot gets hit while it's in the air, you lose a leg. Any questions?

O, also, nut shots are allowed, but they won't earn you any friends. If you hurt my boys, i will want to see you in a lot of pain. So let's play nice so i can have kids later in life?
ARMOR: Armor counts as one extra hit, so if you're wearing chain mail or leather or something, it can get hit once, but then its like it's not even there.

This is just a basic knowledge of the rules, the comlplete list can be found in the Book of War HERE
